Dancing With The Stars

Now we know: Derek Hough smells good when he’s slow dancing with you. This tip comes courtesy of a lady named Eileen, one half of Live! With Kelly’s special wedding couple. Eileen and Kevin are getting married this Friday and, for the past few weeks, three-time Dancing With the Stars champ Derek has been trying to teach them to dance.

Derek has guest-hosted with Kelly a couple of times in the past few months, but on Monday he was the one being interviewed. He had the good fortune to be there for the show’s special Hawaiian week. Derek wore “fertility beads” while talking to Kelly Ripa and Daniel Dae Kim and he said before he got there he called his winning Season 10 partner Nicole Scherzinger to ask her for advice, since she’s from Hawaii. (DWTS judge Carrie Ann Inaba is also a Hawaii native and she’ll be back on Live! With Kelly on Wednesday.)

Before getting to the wedding dance stuff, Derek told Kelly he doesn't know who his DWTS Season 14 partner is yet. He joked that he thought it would be Kelly herself (but maybe it will be Paula Deen?). We’ll find out next Tuesday, Feb. 28 when the official cast is revealed.

Watch the video to see Derek try to work with the real-world couple, who failed to practice the moves Derek assigned as homework. (Bad couple!) But at least Eileen got to give Derek a good hard sniff, so she’s winning either way.
