Carrie Ann Inaba may be newly single, but the Dancing With the Stars judge looked hotter than ever at the 2012 Emmys on September 23. She wore a purple dress by Tadashi Shoji, but her stylist Jen Rade shared details on how to get her look for less.

First, Jen told us all about Carrie Ann’s red carpet look. “This was definitely a collaborative decision,” Jen explained. “We wanted it to look fresh and light. The purple looked spectacular with her skin tone and the color just gave off a really fun, positive vibe.”

Of course, just because you may not have Carrie Ann’s red carpet budget doesn’t mean you can’t copy her style, which she accessorized with turquoise jewelry. “Women can interpret this look everyday since purple and turquoise are two colors that are universally flattering. Add a little bit of turquoise to an outfit with a necklace or ring.”

Jen advises fans of Carrie Ann’s style to head to TJ Maxx for the jewelry, and Marshalls for a huge selection of purple looks. As she puts it, “everything from pencil skirts to colored denim” works in purple.
