Pro Louis van Amstel is looking good with his shades, tight tee, and great smile.
If you’re anything like us, you watch Dancing With the Stars and secretly wish one of the dance pros could give you a private lesson in your own home.
Now, that dream can practically come true. Louis Van Amstel, longtime DWTS dance pro, So You Think You Can Dance choreographer and world champion, has introduced a 5-disc DVD set featuring dance-based fitness. As he tells ABC News, “It’s really a workout in disguise because you’re working out for an hour but you don’t feel like it... You just keep going on and dancing, and that’s the secret of losing weight, by doing dance.”
Having danced on DWTS Season 9 with Kelly Osbourne, who lost a dramatic amount of weight throughout the season, Louis definitely has the background and skill set to know what he’s talking about.
“LaBlast is partner-free and you can still learn all these dances,” he explained. “Level 1 is for the absolute beginner or for the person really needs to lose 50 or 60 pounds, or simply feels they can’t do it because they’re uncoordinated. Anyone can dance. If you’re willing to give up control, you can dance.”
Hey, as we learned during our private one-on-one lesson with DWTS dance pro Val Chmerkovskiy, letting your body feel the music is one of the most important parts of dancing.
Dancing With the Stars Season 14 premieres on Monday, March 19 at 8pm ET/PT on ABC.
