Former Dancing With the Stars  troupe dancer Teddy Volynets has some thoughts on his friend and quasi-brother Tony Dovolani being the first eliminated pro on Season 14. As part of the Chmerkovskiy/Dovolani Dance With Me studio family, Teddy spoke to Wetpaint Entertainment in an exclusive interview, and revealed his feelings on the matter.

Wetpaint Entertainment: What did you think of the elimination last night?
Teddy Volynets: Well, I was really sad to see Tony go. I know that he was definitely working hard with [Martina Navratilova]. She’s not necessarily the most popular figure, even though she’s an incredible athlete in her field. So that’s just kind of the way the show works.

Do you think the selection of Tony’s partners in recent seasons has been fair?
I definitely know Tony wants... I would think that he would want a more spotlight partner, he deserves that. You want someone maybe younger. Just somebody more known, popular. I haven’t had a chance to speak with him [since the elimination], but I texted him. He’s a professional and he’s great at what he does. And I would love to see him with a Mirror Ball.
