Yes! We’re raising 10 paddles to the Emmy voters who gave Dancing With the Stars host Tom Bergeron his first Emmy for Outstanding Host For Reality or Reality Competition Program.

Tom’s big win came Sunday during the 2012 Emmys, the first year that perpetual winner Jeff Probst was not nominated for Survivor.

Tom’s fellow nominees included Cat Deeley of So You Think You Can Dance, Phil Keoghan of The Amazing Race, Ryan Seacrest of American Idol, and Betty White of Betty White's Off Their Rockers.

“This is particularly satisfying since Betty White always kicks my ass in our mixed martial arts class,” Tom quipped in his speech. “Emasculating, that’s all I’m going to say to you. I want to thank Jeff Probst for not being nominated, that helped.” He also thanked his family, plus DWTS executive producer Conrad Green and everyone at DWTS. “It is a pleasure and a privilege to be part of that team.”

And like a good host, he threw in a plug for Season 15 All-Stars, which starts tomorrow, calling his Emmy “the icing on a very sweet cake.”

Congratulations, Tom, on your much deserved win!

Dancing With the Stars Season 15: All-Stars will premiere on Monday, September 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Check out the full All-Stars cast list here.
