Exclusive: The Dancing With the Stars Cast's Diet Secrets Revealed!
Every season the Dancing With The Stars contestants seem to drop as many pounds as those on The Biggest Loser.
While the grueling rehearsals definitely have a lot to do with it (who wouldn’t lose weight dancing eight hours a day?), the stars and pros have to eat healthily too, especially if they’re going to have the energy for all that exercise.
So it’s a smart move that some of this year’s hottest contestants including Ricki Lake, Nancy Grace and Chaz Bono are on a delivery meal program called "Getslim with the Stars" by Freshology.
We’re sure it’s no coincidence that they’ve lost the most weight too!
Even professional dancers Maks and Val Chmerkovskiy, and Kym Johnson are on the program, which includes fresh, wholesome meals and snacks made from premium ingredients, all-natural lean proteins, low glycemic fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
Now viewers can not only vote for their favorite stars each week, but they can diet like them too as the service launches nationwide.
“With Getslim with the Stars, our clients receive the same meals, and therefore the same weight loss benefits, the cast of Dancing with the Stars receive-and contestants like Ricki and Chaz, with their combined loss of almost 30 lbs, are proof it works,” Todd DeMann, Founder and CEO of Freshology, told Wetpaint Entertainment.
“It’s simple-and we make it even simpler by doing all the work for you. We deliver well-balanced, all-natural, calorie-controlled meals, right to your doorstep.”
“But Freshology isn’t just a diet. It’s a lifestyle. We teach you how to make well informed and educated decisions about your health,” he explained.
Normal dieters get from 1100 to 1350 calories a day depending on their needs, but DeMann explained that the both the contests ants and the professional dancers get more to make up how much they burn off rehearsing.
We’re relieved to hear that ABC isn’t starving the DWTS couples, and it sure sounds more nutritious than the craft services table – or the taco truck that was recently parked in front of the studio!
