Since his partner Elisabetta Canalis was voted off Dancing With The Stars, freshman pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy has been busier than ever.

The hunky Ukrainian will soon be skipping the light fantastic in New York City in a spectacular fall showcase with his Dance With Me studio family at the Grand Prospect Hall in Brooklyn, New York.

With less than a week until the star-studded October 30 event, Wetpaint Entertainment snagged Val for a few minutes in-between rehearsals to get the scoop on the special event.

Can you give us any details on the dances you plan to perform during the show?
There will definitely be a lot of surprises and different performances. Some surprises have already leaked like Kirstie participating so we don’t want to give too much away. There may possibly be a surprise violin performance.

What is Kirstie’s role in the showcase? Can you tell us more about it?
We are very honored to have Kirstie performing. She is our centerpiece around teaching women to dance and the results they can get from it. I am very excited to be working with her. Kirstie is like family to us so this is going to be a lot of fun and we are really glad she reached out with the interest to dance with us.

What is it like returning to NYC after your first season on DWTS?
I’m extremely excited. I miss my home very much. I’m glad to be performing for my friends and family, I really look forward to it.

Who will be dancing?
DWTS pro Tony Dovolani, former DWTS contestant Kirstie Alley, Troupe members Teddy Volynets and Daria Chenoskova, former Troupe member Nicole Volynets, former DWTS pro Elena Grinenko, and Maksim’s student Serge Onik are all performing.

The Dance With Me Fall Fantasy showcase will be taking place in Brooklyn on Sunday, October 30. Check out the Dance With Me website for more information.
