While fans were mourning the loss of Tony Dovolani (and his partner Martina Navratilova, we suppose) after the first Dancing With the Stars Season 14 elimination week, Gavin DeGraw was busy recovering from his own close brush with elimination.

"Had I known it was going to be that stressful and I was going to have that many palpitations, I would've taken an aspirin before I went out there onstage," Gavin told E! after being in the bottom two. "I felt it. It was like an aspirin commercial up there... It got scary. I was watching my dance career flash before my eyes!"

Meanwhile, Roshon Fegan, who also found himself under the red light of doom, said it was an "awkward moment" and "I don't want to be up there again!"

Melissa Gilbert, on the other hand, said she was "kind of zen about it. I figured it's out of my hand."

Well, now that they've made it through elimination No. 1, the ball is back in the stars' court. Everyone needs to bring their A game if they want to survive in this talented season.
