Gilles Marini Promoted to Series Regular on ABC Family’s Switched at Birth

Gilles Marini is on a winning streak lately, which may bode well for his upcoming stint on Dancing With the Stars Season 15 All-Stars.

Deadline reports that Gilles has been promoted to a series regular on the ABC Family show Switched at Birth. Gilles had been a recurring guest star on the series’s first season, where he played Vanessa Marano’s character’s biological dad. The show is about two teenagers who find out that they grew up with the wrong families.

Gilles has always gotten regular acting gigs on big shows like Brothers & Sisters, and more recently, a hilarious guest role on Modern Family, where he nearly lures Claire (Julie Bowen) into an affair because she mistakenly thinks he’s gay.

Gilles’s All-Stars partner Peta Murgatroyd must hope that all this luck rubs off in the ballroom!

Dancing With the Stars Season 15: All-Stars will premiere on Monday, September 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Check out the full All-Stars cast list here.
