Is Gilles Marini too committed to Dancing With the Stars All-Stars? The Season 8 runner-up recently shared a surprising note on his Facebook page.
“For the 1st time in 13 years ‘NO Halloween’ for me with the kids ! :( Bummer but they completely understood why and they went with my wife and had a great time!" he wrote. "Now I better perform like never before next Monday on Dancing with the Stars ! #Commitment.”
As judge Len Goodman noted on Week 6, Gilles always gives 100 percent. You never have to push him to do more, because he’s already pushing himself even deeper into his ultra-competitive zone. Gilles has said he’d like to win the Mirror Ball trophy and keep it in his daughter’s bedroom, so we know he’s doing the show in part for his kids — who must be very proud of their papa.
But skip Halloween for the first time in 13 years? That’s some serious sacrifice, on both sides.
Would you consider it worth it, to impress your kids and show them what discipline and commitment look like — since this is potentially a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the whole family to appreciate — or would you put the competition aside for a night, to spend the holiday with your kids?
Catch a new episode of Dancing With the Stars Season 15: All-Stars on Monday, November 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
