The judges’ scores on Dancing With the Stars Season 14 have been a little off, to say the least. But so have the three judges’ roles.

In the past, “grumpy” Len Goodman has been the designated Simon Cowell-esque crotchety judge who speaks mostly in criticism. But this season, and especially on last night’s Week 6: Performance Show, Carrie Ann Inaba may have taken over.

After Maria Menounos and Derek Hough’s Motown Foxtrot, Carrie Ann criticized Maria for “what came after” her slip on the stairs, and Len looked at her incredulously. And when it came time to judge Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower’s Rumba, Carrie Ann gave them the (ridiculous) low score of 7, even when Len and Bruno Tonioli gave them 8s. She said Roshan’s “over-exaggerated movements” made the routine hard for her to watch. Yikes.

Do you think Carrie Ann is the new “mean judge”?
