With the exception of Season 9, Dancing With the Stars has never had more than 13 couples competing on a given season. The norm is 11 or 12. (Season 9 had 16, which was just crazy). So our eyebrows are definitely raised at this list from @DWTSGossip, listing the lady pros rumored to be confirmed to dance on the upcoming Season 14.

That’s Cheryl Burke, Chelsie Hightower (returning from her Season 13 absence), Anna Trebunskaya, Karina Smirnoff (the reigning champion), Kym Johnson, and Peta Murgatroyd (getting a second shot after her Season 13 debut).
No Lacey Schwimmer. It sounds like she may be out for the spring season. Lacey’s music career seems to be taking off and she does do other dance and choreography work on the side, so it’s not like she’d be sitting at home… But she’s a definite fan favorite and took the top lady spot in our DWTS crush poll.
