J.R. Martinez launched him self from soap actor to household name with his success on Dancing With the Stars Season 13. So what is this lovable veteran going to do with his new-found fame?

J.R. recently sat down with Parade, and opened up about life post-Mirror Ball.

"I have gotten used to [the fame]," he admitted. But he's still humbled by it: "I've taken the time to sign every autograph and take every picture."

However, if you want to be nice, don't ask him to bust a move on the spot. “Now, everywhere I go, everyone wants me to dance,” J.R. said. “Sometimes...I don't want to dance."

He has a lot more than dancing on his mind, too. "I'm working on writing a book right now," he explained. "I'm also meeting with my new agent to continue acting and seeing what roles are out there for me. I'm getting into hosting as well or maybe having my own talk show or something along those lines."

We think J.R. would be a phenomenal talk show host. We're still hoping for that proposed male version of The View hosted by DWTS Season 13 stars.

In the end, J.R.'s commitment to the military and making life better for our servicemen and women is still paramount in his life. He is the spokesperson for non-profit organization Operation Finally Home, and he says visiting his former unit at Fort Campbell has been his favorite post-DWTS experience: " I've been able to go to a lot of events and hang out with a lot of people, but to have the opportunity to visit troops and their families at the first base that I deployed with was the greatest."

We wish J.R. luck with his post-DWTS career.
