It’s no secret Julianne Hough wants a large family. The family-oriented starlet recently told Self magazine she wants “three, maybe four kids.” (Here’s hoping boyfriend Ryan Seacrest is up for extra diaper duty!)
In her new film Safe Haven, Julianne experienced pseudo-motherhand first-hand thanks to her two adorable co-stars Noah Lomax and Mimi Kirkland, who play her love interest’s (Josh Duhamel) kids in the Nicholas Sparks’ flick.
Wetpaint Entertainment chatted with Julianne’s tiny co-stars to get behind-the-scenes scoop on our favorite Dancing With the Stars pro-turned-Hollywood-actress — and it sounds like Julianne is already a hit with the kids!
“She’s really nice and funny,” 8-year-old Mimi told us. “She loves everyone! We took so many pictures together, and we would make funny faces all the time.” But Mimi’s favorite moment with Julianne came on premiere night, when the former DWTS pro showed her a few fancy moves on the dance floor.
Mimi’s 11-year co-star Noah, who plays her older brother in the film, said unlike his character — who slowly warms up to Julianne’s character Katie — he and Julianne bonded immediately.
“We had a lot of fun on set,” Noah told us. “In one of the scenes in the movie, I dance with her. She’s really good!”
As for soon-to-be dad Josh Duhamel, Mimi said he has all the qualities of a great dad: “He’s so fun, and he’s really nice -- just like my dad!”
“Me and Josh had a secret handshake on set,” Noah added. “It was hard to learn at first, but now that I know how to do it, it’s really easy. I had a lot of fun with him. One time, he took me to the beach and he helped me with my football training.”
Sounds like perfect dad material to us!
Safe Haven is currently in theaters. Do you think Julianne would make an awesome mom? Sound off in the comments!
