Dancing With the Stars Season 15 All-Stars contestant Kirstie Alley recently called her close friend and fellow Scientologist John Travolta “the love of my life.” And she’s proving that love by defending him against some of the more radical accusations about his personal life.

During Kirstie’s interview with Barbara Walters on 20/20 (the full interview airs on November 9), the subject of John’s sexuality came up. Recently, two male masseurs sued John for sexual assault, though their cases were dismissed earlier this year.

“I know John,” Kirstie tells Barbara (via The Hollywood Reporter). “With all my heart and soul, he’s not gay.”

Kirstie goes on to blame the fame game for the rumors surrounding John’s sex life, suggesting that, when celebrities aren’t “out doing drugs and they’re not womanizing,” there’s nothing for the media to say about them. So they make things up.

As DWTS fans, we’re going to take Kirstie’s word for it. She’s always been one of the most outspoken and honest contestants on the show, and she has nothing to hide. Way to support your friends, Kirstie!
