It's time to put one eyebrow up and squint at a new rumor coming out of Star magazine about two-time Dancing With the Stars contestant Kirstie Alley.

According to Star's source (via MSN), ABC led Kirstie to believe she would get her own "dream show" on the network after DWTS, but instead they pulled a "bait-and-switch" and just had her on All-Stars. "The happiest times of her life were when she was on Cheers, and she is dying to have an opportunity like that again," the insider said. "She feels duped by ABC — she truly believed she was heading for a great comeback."

Take it all with a grain of salt, especially since Kirstie does have her own scripted show — she shot a pilot for Giant Baby on TVLand. Here's TVLand's description, via Entertainment Weekly:

"Giant Baby revolves around Madison 'Maddie' Banks [played by Kirstie Alley], a Broadway star who finds her life turned upside down when Arlo, her long-lost son, turns up looking to connect after his adopted mother has died. However, Maddie doesn’t exactly see nerdy and schlubby Arlo fitting in with her luxurious lifestyle. When her attempt to change Arlo backfires, Maddie finds that perhaps they both could use a little change in their lives."

In early December, EW reported that Seinfeld's Michael Richards had been added to the Giant Baby cast as Maddie's limo driver. Cheers's Rhea Pearlman is playing Maddie's assistant, and DWTS's own Gilles Marini will guest star as Maddie's chef.

So, Kirstie is already getting a cross between Cheers and DWTS, complete with Gilles Marini. What more could she want — other than for the show to air on a network like ABC?
