Lawsuit Claims Kirstie Alley Lost 100 Pounds From DWTS, Not Weight-Loss Product
A frustrated dieter claims Kirstie Alley lost 100 pounds through "an above average exercise regimen and extremely low calorie diet" — also known as intense training with pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy on Dancing With the Stars Season 12 — and not through the weight-loss product she promotes called Organic Liaison.
According to E!, Marina Abramyan filed a lawsuit filed Friday alleging that Kirstie and the supplement maker engaged in "nothing more than a healthy deception" to sell the product. Abramyan bought the supplement and says she followed the weight-loss program without experiencing any of the benefits advertised. According to TMZ, she says Organic Liaison is just calcium and fiber and not a proven weight-loss product.
She wants to stop Organic Liaison from going ahead with its current campaign, which uses before-and-after-DWTS photos of Kirstie Alley. She also wants unspecified damages.
And it sounds like she still wants to lose weight. Maybe try Kym Johnson's Lemonade Diet?
