Dancing With the Stars’ most famous spitfires, Kirstie Alley and her Season 12 pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, shared their feelings on the Demi Moore crisis over the weekend.

“Demi is a smart, insightful girl and she will work through it," Kristie told People at Maks’ 32nd birthday party at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. "I have no doubts. I love Demi. She'll work it out."

The birthday boy himself partied with the likes of Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Kathy Wakile, Sherri Shephard, fellow DWTS pro Chelsie Hightower, and DWTS alum Erin Andrews, but still had some kind words for the suffering star.

“It's sad that a lot of stuff is public knowledge," he says. "With situations like this, you could deal without everybody knowing about it. From what I know of her and from people who know her say, she's an amazing, strong woman and I hope she'll be all right."

This may be the first time that these two haven’t had a clever remark or memorable one-liner while talking to the press together, but we’re sure they saved those signature lines for the after-party.
