Pick your jaws up off the floor and meet the new, super Zen, happy hippie Maksim Chmerkovskiy!

Maks was never a big fan of Bristol Palin's performances back on Dancing With the Stars Season 11. The pro dancer admitted to Today that he was "very vocal the last time Bristol was around," getting frustrated that someone with lower scores could advance all the way into the finals — especially when she and Mark Ballas advanced at the expense of himself and his higher-scoring partner at the time, Brandy Norwood.

Things have changed on Season 15 All-Stars. And even though we saw Maks and his BFF Tony Dovolani having a giggle fit when judge Carrie Ann Inaba went after Bristol and Mark’s Quickstep, there's no feud or anything.

Maks told Today, “When they got called safe in a foursome that Val [Chmerkovskiy] and Kelly [Monaco] were called in jeopardy, Mark came up to me and said, ‘Dude, whatever happens happens. It’s not my fault!’” Maks knows it's not Mark's fault — and he doesn't seem to see any fault at all this time. “This is also my 13th season, and I’ve learned from my mistake,” Maks said. “Everybody deserves to be here. I’m not looking at Bristol the way I may have done in the past. She’s doing a fantastic job.”

See what can happen when you pair Maks with his beloved Kirstie Alley — and give him a super-hot, supportive girlfriend in pro Peta Murgatroyd? Good Maks always emerges when he's happy in his own world. He stops being so ultra-competitive and just lets himself relax and laugh and have fun.
