It’s not magic. The Dancing With the Stars pros have human bodies like the rest of us — and when they indulge, it creates a bulge. But with their intense training and muscle memory, losing the weight isn’t that hard.

Two-time DWTS champ Mark Ballas gave his body a break during the months between spring Season 14 and the new fall Season 15. "This summer I took my first vacation in four years,” Mark told Access Hollywood. “I ate what I want, I did what I want. I went to the beach. I drank pina coladas. I got my tattoos. And I gained 15 pounds. I've lost 10 already in two weeks."

Whew! Good for him for letting loose, but that’s a lot of change for a body in a short period of time. How did he manage to lose it so fast?

Mark said rehearsing in Phoenix with All-Stars partner Bristol Palin has been great for him to focus. He gets in two workouts a day — in the morning he does cardio and swims 30 laps and he also gets on the bike in the gym. And then there’s the dance practicing. Bristol and Mark have the Cha-Cha-Cha as their first dance and Mark said they’ve only been practicing three to four hours a day — a max of five. He said it’s easier pre-season because you have three weeks to work on your first dance, and Bristol’s not training to be a world-class dancer. They just want to have fun.

And it sounds like Mark may have already lost those last five pounds. On September 12, Mark tweeted a photo of a scale reading 155, writing "Back at normal weight I walk at.. Boom..."

So there you go, kids. It pays to be a professional dancer/athlete — if only we all had jobs that helped work off vacation weight.

Dancing With the Stars Season 15: All-Stars will premiere on Monday, September 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Check out the full All-Stars cast list here.
