So far, Dancing With the Stars pro Cheryl Burke has only met with producers of The Bachelorette. There’s no reason to think she’ll definitely get the Season 9 job, especially since the producers are probably also holding similar meetings with whoever ends up being Sean Lowe’s Bachelor 17 finalists. (His new season starts January 7.)

However, Cheryl’s DWTS All-Stars competitors Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani shared advice for her, should she get the gig. Melissa is a veteran of The Bachelor and she added a caution about Cheryl that might actually work in her favor if she is cast.

“The thing with Cheryl is that she falls in love very easily, and really with any guy that has the potential to be good, I would just tell her, play it cool,” Melissa told Celebuzz. “Don’t fall in love with all of them. Think with your head, don’t think with your heart.”

Shows like The Bachelor and Bachelorette depend on everyone falling in love easily, so that might be a good thing for Cheryl. You need to develop a love story out of little moments stolen 10 or 20 minutes at a time over the course of two months.

For his part, Tony added a warning to Cheryl’s potential Bachelorette boyfriends to treat her well or the DWTS guys would come after them. It’s still a mystery why she hasn’t found lasting love with one of the male DWTS pros or troupe members. Or their hot friends. Seriously, can no one hook her up?
