At this point, the fate of the Dancing With the Stars Season 15 All-Stars pairs is up in the air. The Powers That Be could choose to pair some of the Season 15 All-Stars with their previous pro partners, or they could re-partner everyone.

As much as we’d love to see, say, the return of Season 8 partners Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke and Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani, there are arguments to be made that it gives them an unfair advantage. What about the pros who don’t have any past partners returning, like Karina Smirnoff, Derek Hough, Chelsie Hightower, Tristan MacManus, Val Chmerkovskiy, and Peta Murgatroyd?

Plus, if Julianne Hough doesn’t return, that means neither Helio Castroneves nor Apolo Anton Ohno has access to their winning partner. And unless Alec Mazo and Damian Whitewood return, Kelly Monaco and Pamela Anderson will have to start fresh with someone new.

Plus, Cheryl and Mark Ballas have multiple past partners returning, so would it be fair to just pick one over others? How do you decide that? Would it be easier and more fair to just reshuffle the deck or would that be a huge disappointment, since the term “All-Stars” could legitimately refer to the returning couple, not just the returning celeb?

We’ll learn of at least 12 of the 13 partnerships on Monday, August 13 but what do you hope they do?

Dancing With the Stars Season 15: All-Stars will premiere on Monday, September 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
