The way Len Goodman gushed about Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd’s Tango, we were sure his 10 paddle was finally coming out.
Donald and Peta launched Dancing With the Stars Season 14, Week 8 and Len was so excited about it he jumped in to give his critique before Tom Bergeron was even done speaking.
“Ding, dong, Donald, a first round knockout!” Len said. Bruno Tonioli said the dance had aggression, disdain and he went for it like there was no tomorrow. “First out, first class.” Carrie Ann Inaba said Donald was in the zone. She loved his dynamic shapes this week. One thing, though: He needed to add a little bit more drama. Bruno and Len immediately disagreed, saying there was plenty of drama. Donald ran over to the judges’ table to give Carrie Ann drama with a kiss.
At that point we figured Carrie Ann was going to give a 9 and Len and Bruno would go for 10s. So it was weird to see them all flash 9s. Again? What gives? Since only Carrie Ann had any criticism at all, how are they supposed to know what to do to improve to ever get a 10 from Len or Bruno? Carrie Ann gave Donald a 10 back on Week 5, but since then it’s been 9s from all.

What's more: Donald and Peta were underscored again during the "Trio" Jive with Karina Smirnoff. The dance garnered only a single 10 from Carrie Ann, with Len and Bruno flashing 9s. The audience was so upset with the lack of a perfect score that they drowned out the ballroom with boos. Watch the "Trio" performance below.
