It’s a high honor, but somehow the Dancing With the Stars judges were able to come up with their all-time top celebrity contestants over 13 seasons of the show.
On last night’s 20/20 special, “Dance Floor Confidential,” Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli were asked who the best celebrity dancer was in the show’s history, and they appeared completely unanimous in picking Nicole Scherzinger, who was the winner of Season 10 with pro partner Derek Hough.
But the judges were quick to point out that the “all-around best contestant” was Season 8 runner-up Gilles Marini, whose partner was Cheryl Burke. Carrie Ann thinks that, “for all things considered,” he was the best. Bruno also agreed that “he blossomed.”
We’re not sure if they’re referencing his charming personality, or just their view of him from behind.
