No alarms. No surprises. Victor Ortiz and Lindsay Arnold went home on Dancing With the Stars Season 16 Week 6 because they had the lowest scores of Stevie Wonder Night, and even they couldn’t survive four times in the bottom three. So we’re not shocked they’re leaving, but we’re still sad.

After the cast was announced, before we even saw rehearsals for the spring 2013 season, we decided to back Victor and Lindsay to win it all. They looked cute together and seemed to have potential. Obviously, that ship has sailed, but they still look cute together! Hopefully Victor can heal his broken heart, and we hope to see perky Lindsay back on Season 17, training a partner with even more potential.

Since Victor had been in the bottom two so many times, and he’s now gone, who will be next? Andy Dick has been in the bottom two before, and Sean Lowe made his debut there this week, so do you think one of them could be next? It feels like the next couple of eliminations could be actual surprises, since Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy, and Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough seem safe at the top; Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas, and Jacoby Jones & Karina Smirnoff look like they’re fighting to be after them; and Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson, Sean and Peta Murgatroyd, and Andy and Sharna Burgess are just fighting to hang on as long as possible.

PARTING WORDS

What has this experience been like for Victor? “You know, I don’t take nothing back,” Victor said at the end of the Week 6 Results Show. “I had a blast. I made great friends, including you guys [Tom and Brooke], you beautiful people. So at the end of the day it was a heck of an experience and hopefully these beautiful people [the fans] will follow me to my next world championship title belt, along with cast 16 ringside. It’s been a blast. I’m happy to get this far. I definitely need some dance moves!” (It’s too bad he didn’t have time to say anything about his amazing partner, Lindsay. She made a great debut.)
