Wounded Warrior Meets DWTS Pros: The Women are Beautiful, the Guys are Tiny
A "Dancing with Desire" charity event was held last month in Florida to benefit Children in Crisis. Several Dancing With the Stars pros were featured in the show — but so was wounded warrior Staff Sgt. Curtis Krenzke. The Air Commando received the Purple Heart after being shot in the leg in Afghanistan and took dance lessons about a month before participating in the event.
"Overall, I had a blast doing this," Krenzke told Military.com. "I have a whole new respect for professional dancers and what they must go through to achieve their goals."
According to the Northwest Florida Daily News, DWTS pros Tristan MacManus, Tony Dovolani, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Karina Smirnoff, Peta Murgatroyd, Kym Johnson, Val Chmerkovskiy, and Daria Chesnakova were featured in the show.
Krenzke was impressed — with the women, anyway. "I met the cast of Dancing with the Stars, and the women are as beautiful as you see them on TV [but] the guys are tinier than I thought they were," he said.
Ha! Granted, a lot of guys probably look tiny to a buff military guy. But apparently he's caught the dancing bug and said he and his wife will continue to take dance lessons. "It is an amazing way to work out and improve my gracefulness, which carries over to all aspects of and for my job."
Yeah, what soldier couldn’t use a good Samba every so often?
