  • Season 10, Week 9: Semi-finals Performance
It's the semi-finals this week! There are only four couples left! And even if everyone watching thought Chad would be going home tomorrow, Tom wanted us all to know that the show just might surprise us all tonight! Erin & Maks danced a Viennese Waltz with a total score of 27, Nicole & Derek danced an Argentine Tango with a perfect score of 30, Chad & Cheryl danced a Waltz with a total score of 27, and Evan & Anna danced a Foxtrot with a near-perfect score of 29.

With Pamela gone, it was obviously down to Chad and Niecy: everyone knew that one of them had to be headed home unless the voters were totally insane. But were they? It would take a full hour to find out. But after the last commercial break of the hour, they didn't tease us any longer. Brooke told us Erin & Maks were going forward to next week, and Niecy & Louis were in the bottom two with Chad & Cheryl. In fact, they finally revealed, it was Niecy's week to go. Chad nearly passed out in relief and almost began to cry.

  • Season 10, Week 8: Performance
It has been the best season ever, even if some of our favorites have already been sent packing. (Shannen Doherty! Pam Anderson!) Sniff. But it's double dance week for the remaining contestants (and two hours of dancing for those who were watching) and the pressure's on. Not only did the couples have to deliver this week, they also had to "capture" the spirit of their assigned decade. Nicole & Derek delivered a couple more great performances this week, but Niecy and Chad both faltered in their dances this week.

Right off the bat, Tom announced that Erin & Maks were safe this week, but he wasn’t going to let anyone else stop suffering. Instead, it was time for Len’s recap. Len said there were great performances and great technique last night, but no one did both. In the end, Jake & Chelsie were the losers this week. Jake tried as hard as possible to get used to rejection by millions of Americans, the way he subjected his potential partners to weekly rejection on The Bachelor in front of millions of people, but he failed. He lost his composure and choked up as he thanked Chelsie for being great to him and his fiancée, Vienna. Awww, the guy may not be a great dancer, but he sure has heart.

Brooke Burke appeared tired of everyone paying more attention to the contestants’ breasts than they did to hers, so she brought the girls to the forefront of tonight's Performance show, but Anna put the world on nip-slip watch and Pamela Anderson… went brunette! Even Tom felt compelled to comment on Pam's hair choice. Sorry, Brooke Burke. It’s all about the actual stars on this show. The top scores of the night went to Nicole & Derek with 36 points, followed closely by Erin & Maks with 34 points. Jake & Chelsie were at the bottom the leader board with a total of just 25 ponts.

Tom said Movie Night was full of glitz and glam, and some people were great — while others sucked (you know, like Kate). At the beginning of this week's Results show Nicole & Derek and Kate & Tony were asked to step forward off the stairs. Nicole & Derek were, naturally, safe. Kate & Tony were, however, in the bottom two for the first time this season. Adding in the votes from last night, Tom finally revealed that Kate & Tony were leaving, and Pamela sank to her knees a little bit.

This week, Aiden Turner was kicked off. We will miss his hotness. In other developments, we learned of Chad & Jake's bromance as they embraced twice — each time one was announced safe. This week's performers included the Macy's Stars of Dance, Tiler Peck, Nuttin' But Stringz, and Travis Wall.

Results shows are all about two things — tension building and guest performances. The obvious leaders, Erin Andrews and Evan Lysacek, were labled safe early in the show, leaving the remaining contestants shaking in their dancing shoes. Team Gaga did an encore performance of their Cha-Cha-Challenge routine, with Chelsie Hightower filling in for an injured Pam Anderson. Musical guest Train performed their hit single "Hey Soul Sister," which didn't quite seem suited for the accompanying dance performance while Cirque du Soleil put on a high energy, flip-filled tribute to Elvis Presley. The bottom two came down to Erin Andrews and Pamela Anderson, with the Baywatch bombshell getting eliminated. She handled the disappointment well leaving us with a one final quip,  “This has been one of the best experiences of my life and that says a lot — I’ve had a lot of good experiences.”

  • Season 10, Week 7: Performance

This week, the judges praised nearly every couple for being the best at something: Carrie Ann called Nicole the best dancer they ever had on the show, Niecy and Erin were praised for performing their best dances yet, and Evan received the best possible score with this season's first perfect score of 30. Next, the pairs were split into teams for the Cha-Cha-Challenge. Team Gaga (Pam & Damian, Chad & Cheryl, and Nicole & Derek) performed a steamy synchronized number to Lady Gaga's hit single, "Telephone," which was followed by a slightly less executed and slower-paced Team Madonna (Niecy & Louis, Evan & Anna, and Erin & Maks) routine to Madonna's "Holiday." All scoring aside, the real winner of the night seemed to be Cheryl Burke who sported a diamond necklace as one of the many birthday presents her partner Chad showered upon her with throughout the day.

This is it, people! The big finale. And the judges are looking at tonight as a clean slate... it's anyone's to win! During rehearsals, each team is visited by one of the judges for last minute pointers. Will they take the advice?

First, the couples tackle dances they haven't yet performed. Kelly & Louis's Argentine Tango is beautiful and confident - Kelly has had such an incredible journey from the first episode. Next is Mya & Dmitry, doing a Paso Doble to Queen's "We Will Rock You" that brings the house down. Carrie Ann calls Mya the "Queen of the Paso Doble," and the judges agree giving her a perfect 30. Donny & Kym's Cha Cha Cha is solid and gets a 27.

In the middle of the show, we get to see the "megamix." All three pairs dance the same choreography and are judged against each other. They're rated in order, with Mya getting first place, Donny garnering second place, and Kelly landing in third place.

Finally, it's time for the freestyle dances, which gives each star a chance to shine on their own. Kelly has a couple of stumbles in her dance, and Mya's performance is a little disappointing to the judges. Donny & Kym steal the night with their high energy dance, earning them their best score of the season, a perfect 30!

It's the final elimination week and only three couples are going to advance to the finale. The star-studded night is filled with amazing singing and dancing peformances, as well as an unexpected music video starring the Final Four. Demonstrating the pressure they're under in the final week of competition, they lip-synch their way through Queen's "Under Pressure."

Soon we find out that Kelly or Joanna are in the bottom two. Both have impressed the judges tremendously and earned very committed fans in the viewing audience. Alas, the viewer votes for Joanna aren't enough to keep her in the competition and she is sent home.

Going into the finals next week are Donny Osmond & Kym Johnson, Kelly Osbourne & Louis Van Amstel, and Mya & Dmitry Chaplin.

Tonight is chock-full of dancing. Each team performs both a Ballroom and Latin dance. In the Latin dance, each celebrity is required to let go of his or her partner and do a solo. Plus, each pair performs their "knockout" dance - the dance they picked and rehearsed in case they got into a dance-off in a double elimination. For the last few weeks, they've been able to avoid that challenge, but now they have to present it here - under full scrutiny, for real scores.

Donny and Kelly both have mediocre starts to the week. Donny faces disaster after distaster. In addition to what seemed like a nervous and distant performance, Donny stumbles on Kym's long dress, losing his footing numerous times. Meanwhile Kelly deals with the loss of a pet and can't quite channel the "sense of eroticism" that Bruno was looking for in her Rumba. Can ya blame her?

The rest of the night, however, is one impressive dance after the next. Mya continues to bring her "A" game to the competish, and scores a 29 on her knockout dance and another perfect score of 30 for her Salsa!

It's a packed episode... and no one's eager for it to end, especially the stars. There is plenty to distract us, with amazing performances from Michael Bublé, Susan Boyle, and the Design a Dance duo of Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas. But ultimately the Final Five are going to become the Final Four by the end of the night. So sad!

By the end of the night, both Kelly Osbourne and Aaron Carter are up on the chopping block, and Aaron is sent home for having the lowest combined score. Aaron takes the news very proudly and honorably, thanking the judges for the comments and criticism. Len then asks to make a speech, "I think the dedication that you have shown week after week is absolutely fantastic. I think you're an inspiration to all young people that anything is possible, and if you were my son, I'd be so proud of you." Now we really do feel crying.

It's down to the final five, and there are only two more weeks left in the competition. And to build the pressure, now each team has to dance two dances - two loooong dances.

The first half of the evening is the Ballroom round, with each team doing a style of dance they had yet to perform. The second half is the Latin round. For this round, each pair randomly draws an era to dance to: '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s, or "the future." Their challenge is to incorporate appropriate era moves and feelings into classic Latin dances. Good luck with that "future" era! Eek!

Mya & Dmitry take the floor first with a '70s Samba to Donna Summer's "Bad Girls." It's the highlight of the night, earning the first perfect score of 30 - three 10s - in the entire competition. Aaron & Karina's '90s Samba impresses the judges as well, showing off the former child performer's boy band moves. And Joanna & Derek, resplendent in robotic silver, bring a futuristic take to the Paso Doble, earning a 9 and two 10s.

With a total score of 59, Mya's way on top this week. But Aaron, Joanna, Kelly, and Donny all nearly tied with total scores ranging from 50-52. It's a close one!

Uh-oh! Only seven pairs are left, and two couples are going home tonight! That means being declared "safe" is more important than ever. Kelly gets the first reprieve, and Donny, Mya, and Joanna all get to relax as well, knowing they'll be back next week.

In the bottom three are Mark, Michael, and Aaron. And let's not forget, Aaron got the second highest combined score the night before, and the highest individual score with a 9 and two 10s for his Jive with Karina. But apparently it wasn't enough! Don't forget, the viewers' votes also count for something!

The first cut was Michael Irvin, who receives a heartfelt standing ovation. Next is the dance-off that determines who else will be eliminated - Mark or Aaron? The guys face off in an intense display of dance. Mark, reunited with Lacey who was sick for the week's performance show, truly connects and dances a spectacular Cha Cha. But they can't compete with Aaron & Karina's Jive, which is a total. showstopper. (The Jive really is Aaron's dance!) The judges unanimously save Aaron to dance another week. Mark & Lacey bid DWTS goodbye.

Week 7 of the competition brings two more dances. The couples perform a dance they have not yet to covered in the past six weeks. For the second round, they either dance the Paso Doble or the Tango in teams.

Facing a setback is Mark Dacascos, whose partner Lacey Schwimmer has the flu. Anna Trebunskaya steps in at the last minute as a replacement, but the pair only had two days to learn two dance routines. The pressure and challenges are a tough combination, and Mark & Anna's Samba earns only 19 total points from the judges.

This show also features two team dances, with pairs teaming up to earn a shared score that will be added to their individual scores. Aaron & Karina, Mya & Dmitry, Mark & Anna T, and Michael & Anna D dance the the Paso Doble, earning a solid 24 from the judges. On the other hand, Joanna & Derek, Donny & Kym, and Kelly & Louis perform a tight, professional, and rock-solid Tango. Carrie Ann and Len each give enthusiastic scores of 9, and Bruno hands them a 10!

After a night of impressive performances, energy, and teamwork, it's going to be tough sending two more pairs home tomorrow in the second double elimination.

In the results show of Week 6 there will be a double elimination. The first to be booted off is Melissa Joan Hart & Mark Ballas who received the lowest combined score. This left Michael & Anna D and Louie & Chelsie to duke it out in the dance-off. Michael Irvin & Anna Demidova are up first, dancing the Samba. Michael seems to be having fun, bringing life and hip movement not seen in many of his prior dances. Louie Vito & Chelsie Hightower follow up with a Jive, featuring some impressive acrobatics and energy, but with more than a few misplaced steps. And while Bruno votes to keep Louie & Chelsie, both Len and Carrie Ann ultimately raise their paddles for Michael & Anna, sending Louie home.
