Danica McKellar: Switch Up Experience Is “So Different” — Who’s Her New Pro Partner?

The Dancing With the Stars Season 18 Switch Up is happening right now as you read this, even though we won't see the results until the Week 4 live show on Monday (April 7).

Cheryl Burke thought the Switch might be toughest on the pros, with the pressure to keep another celeb up to a certain standard — or even exceed it — but our sympathies are chiefly with the celebs. The pros dance with other people all the time — fellow pros, past season celebs, and other non-pros if they teach off-season. This is what they do.

For the celebs, it's ripping them from the comfort of their mother pro's arms and forcing them into still another scary, unknown, potentially awkward situation. They have to start from scratch, but with higher expectations imposed on them by a pro who won't want either one of them to look bad. No one wants to feel responsible for the elimination coming on Week 5.

So, with that in mind, we're curious behind the message of this April 3 tweet from Danica McKellar: “Goodness, the experience with my new dance partner is so different...! Still great, but different! #DWTS #switchup.”

Who is her new partner? There’s a lot of speculation out there, and we won’t learn the truth until Monday, but some fans suspect this is the new lineup:

Danica McKellar and Maksim Chmerkovskiy

Meryl Davis and Val Chmerkovskiy

Charlie White and Peta Murgatroyd

Cody Simpson and Sharna Burgess

James Maslow and Cheryl Burke

Amy Purdy and Mark Ballas

Candace Cameron Bure and Tony Dovolani

NeNe Leakes and Derek Hough

Drew Carey and Witney Carson

What do you think? If this is valid, it gives Danica to Maks, and Maks’ partner Meryl goes to his brother Val.

Dancing with Maks would be different from Val, but not as different as it could’ve been if she got, say, Mark. Do you like the idea of this lineup?
