Daniel Radcliffe Tries Out American Accent, Devil-Like Visage in Horns Trailer (VIDEO)
Daniel Radcliffe is a horn-y devil in his newest film role — and an American one, at that.
The actor formerly known as Harry Potter is the star of Horns — in which he plays a young man wrongly accused of his girlfriend's murder. Not helping his case are the horns that spontaneously sprout from his forehead one morning… and grant him the power of persuasion.
Wacky premise, right? But the trailer you see here — which bedeviled Comic-Con attendees this weekend — seems to make it work!
The movie, directed by Alexandre Aja and written by Keith Bunin off a book by Joe Hill, also stars Juno Temple and Max Minghella.
Besides Daniel's cranium appendages, another buzzworthy aspect of Horns is that it has the 25-year-old thespian using an American accent.
For Dan, the role was an opportunity to explore new (non-wizard) frontiers in his acting career: "If you take those opportunities when they're given to you and try to capitalize them, then hopefully word gets out that you're not content to rest on your laurels," he told the audience at the film's Comic-Con panel, per the Los Angeles Times.
Watch out for Horns when it hits theaters on October 31!
