Daycare Center Exposed for Drug Ring Involving Oxy, Coke, and Crack
“Fun World” Day Care Raid Turns up Mounds of Oxy, Coke, and Crack
A daycare center in the Bronx has been accused of distributing oxycontin, cocaine, and crack after police busted a large drug ring run by the couple who owned the child care facility known as Fun World Day Care. Fun World, indeed!
Police say they seized over a kilogram of cocaine, more than 1,000 oxycodone pills, 150 grams of crack, a loaded gun, and approximately $180,000 in cash in the raid of the daycare center, and an additional location across the street. Police even found 300 grams of cocaine inside an insulated child’s lunch bag located in the refrigerator.
The Special Narcotics Prosecutor’s office reports that the couple who ran Fun World — Gregario Hanley and Johanna Vasquez — have been arrested and are currently in custody, along with potential drug buyer William Ferrer. The couple is facing multiple drug charges as well as charges of child endangerment.
