Cory Monteith Death: McCanick Co-Star Remembers Him
Before his shocking death, Glee's Cory Monteith had filmed two films that are both likely to be released theatrically in the coming months. Now, at a recent screening for one of those films, McCanick, Cory's director and co-stars from that film are remembering Cory.
McCanick screened Philadelphia Film Festival on October 27, where director Josh Waller and stars David Morse and Mike Vogel spoke to the crowd about what a stellar job Cory did on the film, according to Chestnut Hill Local.
"Morse choked up when he began to speak about Cory Monteith, especially how brave Monteith had been in a particularly difficult scene for both actors," the publication reports. "Morse related how Monteith’s acting coach from Canada had flown to Philly the day they were to film that scene and had rehearsed with him privately right before they shot it."
Meanwhile, the three guys are all proud to have been in the film with Cory, whom they all felt would have had a long career ahead of him. "All agreed that Monteith had shown what he was capable of doing as an actor," adds the article. "At least he had a chance to demonstrate the full range of his talent before he passed from this earth."
We think it's great that Cory's McCanick colleagues had such great things to say about him, and we can't wait to see the film when it's released, which is likely to happen in early 2014.
