Game of Thrones Deaths: Which Major Character’s Death Would be Most Upsetting?

We’ve all been watching Game of Thrones long enough to know that characters are going to die. No matter how well-liked they may be, sooner or later, every dog has his day. So, we’re wondering which major character’s death would be most upsetting? Here’s the case for some of the biggies.

Tyrion Lannister. Tyrion is hilarious, there’s no denying that. Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion, is also probably the biggest star of the show: His name gets first billing in the credits, and he's the only actor to win an Emmy for the show, at least so far (we're pulling for ya, Emilia!). We really can’t imagine Game of Thrones without him, and his could be the only departure that could really hurt the show’s popularity.

Jaime Lannister. During the first and second seasons, we doubt anyone would have mourned too much if Jaime had kicked the bucket, but in Season 3 he became a hero, ans an incredibly funny and charming hero at that. Now that we’ve seen his character grow and become great, we really want to see what’s next for him. Hopefully that doesn’t include a grave.

Arya Stark. The Starks have faced enough adversity already. First Ned Stark was killed, and now Cat and Robb are dead, too. To kill off the most-awesome Stark, Arya, would be a whole new level of cruel. Especially if it happens before she’s able to exact any revenge on her enemies.

Jon Snow. Jon Snow’s story is pretty separate from most of the other characters on the show. Because of that, it really seems like he’s destined for something great. If he were to die now, it would almost make all that time we’ve spent getting to know him feel like a huge waste of time.

Daenerys Targaryen. Speaking of separate storylines, Dany’s even more isolated than Jon is. We’ve never even seen her in Westeros! With the show devoting all of that time showing her rise to power in Essos (not to mention seeing the birth and growth of her dragons), it would be absolutely insane if she perished before we got to see some kind of payoff for all her hard work.

Whose death would you find the most upsetting? Vote in our poll, and then let us know in the comments below!

I'm prepared for anyone to die.

No more deaths. Please!
