Demi Lovato on Glee Season 5: How Many Episodes Will She Be In?

Given on how much we’re loving new promos and photos of Demi Lovato (Dani) on Glee, we wish the multi-faceted talent could somehow stay on the show forever. Alas, the pop star has got a lot on her plate these days, so her time on Glee is somewhat limited. But just how soon will she be leaving us?

Demi hasn’t even made her first appearance yet which comes tomorrow during Season 5, Episode 2: “Tina in the Sky With Diamonds” and already we’re stressing about when she’ll be wrapping her Glee stint. And who could blame us, given how cute she and new love interest Santana (Naya Rivera) look together. Don’t you just want to squeeze them both? No, that’s just us?

Initially, the X Factor judge signed on for a six episodes of Glee. We know she won’t be seen in the Cory Monteith tribute in Season 5, Episode 3, but she will be back when Episode 4: “A Katy or a Gaga” airs on November 7. That would put Demi’s presumed final episode at somewhere around mid-December, depending on how many new episodes air during the holidays.

We know what you’re thinking right now: December is way too soon for Demi to leave Glee for good. We’re right there with you. Luckily, it seems the window could still be open for Demi to sign on for a few more episodes. After all, plenty of people have filmed more episodes than they planned to, including Glee Project alums Alex Newell (Unique) and Blake Jenner (Ryder). So you never know!

The only tricky thing is that Demi also has a thriving pop music career, and she embarks on her next tour on February 9, meaning the last Glee episode she could film would probably be Episode 14. With Glee going on a major hiatus after the first half of Season 5 to allow Fox to air the legal drama Rake, the timing might not work out for many more appearances by her.

What we’re trying to say is, enjoy Demi’s presence on the show while you can! And make sure to tune in for her arc, because if Glee’s ratings are through the roof while she’s on the show, then Fox has to bring her back for more, right?
