Demi Lovato’s Friends Warn Her to Stay Away From “Bad Boy” Ryan Phillippe — Report
Be careful, Demi Lovato!
The singer is reportedly dating Ryan Phillippe, but her friends and family are worried about her being with the actor.
After splitting with longtime boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama in 2016, the “Sorry Not Sorry” hitmaker’s companions want her to be safe.
Though neither star has confirmed the romance, Reese Witherspoon’s ex was reportedly caught leaving the 25-year-old’s home recently.
And, while they are 18 years apart, it’s not the age difference that has her pals worried.
“Demi is smitten with Ryan,” a source told Life & Style.
"But her friends worry he’s a bad influence on her and have begged her not to date him.”
The father of two was recently accused of domestic violence by his ex-girlfriend Elsie Hewitt, who claims he threw her down a staircase.
“As a staunch advocate for the health, well-being, and equality of women, Ryan is completely devastated that these false allegations have been made and circulated,” his rep said following the allegations.
“Domestic violence is an incredibly serious issue and fabricated and proven false claims should not be used to unjustly slander the falsely accused. The claims are false.”
Though he denies the claims, it is still worrisome for those close to the former Disney star.
“Demi and Ryan are already saying, ‘I love you,’” the source continued,
“Now her friends fear it’s too late to stop this possibly very toxic relationship.”
Meanwhile, Demi endured an emotional breakup after she split from the That ‘70s Show star after six years of dating.
"I think it’s healthy to be able to start over with someone else,” she told Glamour.
“Being sick was always a part of my relationship with him; I always had something wrong with me. I needed to let go of that.”
She continued, “It was hard to depart from somebody who saw everything, but it may be nice to start fresh with somebody.
“Because that person I was when I was a lot younger is not who I am today.”
