UPDATE (10/05/16 at 9:49 a.m. ET):

Taylor Swift is not happy with Demi Lovato.

"Taylor has a tight group of women in her life that all have her and each others' back and sometimes people just want that,” a source told E! News. She thought it was unnecessary for her to make those comments. They both have never been really good friends."

Original Story (10/04/16 at 4:36 p.m. ET):

Demi Lovato called out Taylor Swift, and then announced she was taking a break from music. Coincidence? We think not.

The “Confident” hitmaker criticized Tay for “tearing down” Katy Perry and claimed the "Bad Blood" singer is failing to empower other women.

"I think that having a song and a video about tearing Katy Perry down, that's not women's empowerment,” she said during an interview with Yahoo.

Demi then proceeded to call out Taylor for not being more inclusive.

"This will probably get me in trouble, but I don't see anybody in any sort of squad that has a normal body. It's kind of this false image of what people should look like."

But since her rant, Demi has took to Twitter to announce she’s taking a break from music and the media — and we bet the Swifties have something to do with it.

“So excited for 2017. Taking a break from music and the spotlight.. I am not meant for this business and the media” she tweeted.

Her fans urged her not to leave, but the Twitter trolls rejoiced in the announcement writing “Good” and “Thank God.”

Twitter user sironson added, “Demi, beb, you are literally the girl who cried ‘I'M TAKING A BREAK.’”

Meanwhile, Katy Perry may be off the hook from attacks by #TeamTaylor as she has shown signs that she is ready to make up with the pop star by offering to collaborate with her.

When asked in a Twitter Q&A if she would work with Taylor, the singer replied, "If she says sorry, sure!"

The two pop divas have had an ongoing feud ever since Taylor claimed Katy stole three of her backup dancers from her “RED” tour in 2012.

But if they do quash that beef, we can’t wait to hear their collaboration! Maybe they’ll include Demi on the track, too.
