Desiree Hartsock Shares First Pic of Baby Asher — He’s Chris’s Twin! (PHOTO)
And did we mention, the two events are sort of connected?
You may have forgotten, but the Seattle-based duo named their baby boy Asher Wrigley after Wrigley Field — a tribute to his dad’s former gig as a Chicago Cubs minor leaguer.
So it seems even more perfect that the same week the team broke their 108-year drought, Des unveiled the first photo of her baby boy to the public. So much to celebrate, right?
Just wait until you see how cute the little guy is.
Can you even handle it?! At just two weeks old, he’s already looking a lot like his dad — something his parents readily acknowledge.
“I’m just happy he’s got a good hairline,” Chris jokes to Us Weekly about their shared genes. “And he’s definitely going to be tall.”
The adjustment into parenthood seems smooth sailing now, but Asher really put his parents through hell in the beginning.
We’re talking starting from childbirth! After all, the wedding dress designer did opt for natural delivery, calling it “the most painful things you’ll ever feel.”
Though the labor only lasted two hours, it sounded excruciating, with the new mom keeping her eyes closed the entire time.
“That’s how I was getting through everything,” the My Fairytale Wedding author explains, who said she also had a sort of “growl” — more like breathing and moaning — that helped.
Though it seems her biggest asset during labor was her amazing hubby himself.
The 30-year-old gushes, “Chris was such a savior to be honest. It was just nice to know he was there.”
The new dad had a little bit of a lighter take on his son’s first moments.
“It was unique and fun to watch when the baby came out,” he stated, to which his wife fired back, “Fun to watch?! Oh, man!”
Their little guy isn’t completely perfect, though.
He’s mostly “pretty calm,” his mama says, there are a couple of things that set him off.
She admits, “He hates being changed. It’s the end of the world! And when we took him in the car for the first time, it was absolutely terrible!”
