Desiree Hartsock “Getting Rid of the Good Guys” Says Insider: Exclusive

By now, most of Desiree Hartsock’s Bachelorette Season 9 suitors have bonded like bros. So, while viewers may have yet to get to know many of them, and don’t really care much when they get sent home, things are different for the guys. For these new BFFs, it isn’t easy to see one of their new pals go home.

On the June 17 episode, Des sent not one, but two guys packing: Both single dad Brad McKinzie and web developer / children’s book publisher Zack Kalter. Interestingly, however, each elimination elicited a different reaction from the group.

“No one was that shocked about Brad,” an on-set source tells Wetpaint Entertainment. “He was quiet and conservative and never really opened up. Add to that the fact that he had a kid and everyone understood why Des sent him home.”

More popular among the men was Zack — and his new buddies were sad to see him go. “They didn’t get the elimination at all,” the source explains. “He was cool and fun and he seemed to get plenty of time with Des. Not all of that was shown on the episode, though. So it didn’t make a lot of sense [for him to be sent home]. The reaction among everyone was, ‘Damn, she’s getting rid of all the good guys!’”

Yikes. Well, let’s hope she doesn’t get rid of all the good ones. Here’s hoping there’s one left she’ll chose as the winner!
