Desiree Hartsock’s Bachelorette Cheater Isn’t the First: Here’s 3 More
For some inexplicable reason, there always seem to be Bacheloror Bachelorette candidates who think they can get away with having a lover on the side. You know, someone to keep the home fires burning while they’re off stoking an unsuspecting new flame.
Why contestants think they’ll ever get away with living a double life we’ll never know. Not only are both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette huge TV shows, but we’re pretty sure ABC producers live to dig up dirt on contestants.
During the past eleven (!!!) years, we’ve seen our fair share of cheaters come and go from Bachelor Mansion. Here’s a reminder of who went wrong when:
Season 5 — The Bachelorette's Wes Hayden
From the get-go, Wes Hayden was labeled the contestant with “the wrong reasons.” Word was he had a girlfriend at home and was only on the show for his career. After getting a tip from future Bachelor Jake Pavelka, Bachelorette Jillian Harris dumped Wes. To this day, he remains adamant he didn’t have a gal pal waiting at home. “That was all part of the big shebang,” he exclusively told Wetpaint Entertainment. “There’s a lot of things that goes into the editing. But no, I never had a girlfriend.”
Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky was living it up in Europe when she learned contestant Justin Rego was hiding something. Ali’s Bachelor Season 14 castmate Jessie Sulidis got Justin’s teary girlfriend on the phone and then all hell broke loose. Ali literally chased Justin down when he wouldn’t man up and admit he’d done wrong. Thankfully, he eventually left and we could all get on with our lives.
