More Details On Angie Miller’s Record Deal and New Co-Publishing Deal!
It’s only been a few weeks since her shocking American Idol elimination, but life for Angie Miller has already done a complete 180. It’s a whirlwind of autographs, taking photos, and an upcoming media blitz. One of her first stops was the FOX 25 studios while she was home in Boston to talk about what lies ahead.
“I’m excited to find out who I’m getting signed with this week, and make an album,” Angie said, revealing the record deal is all but set. Although we don’t know the details of the record deal yet, we do know that Angie was just signed to Universal Music Publishing Group for a co-publishing deal! Who knew that one moment during Hollywood Week when she sang that tender rendition of her original song, “You Set Me Free,” would catapult her into a musical success.
In the interview with FOX, Angie talks about the future saying that, on the one hand, the stress of American Idol is over, but on the other hand it’s now the stresses of the music business, which she calls “a whole new ballgame.” Indeed!
She talked a little bit about what she did during her brief downtime before she begins rehearsals for the American Idol LIVE! Tour in June. She was able to catch her brother’s band, Exiting the Fall, and even posted a twitpic of her hanging out with the band afterwards at Denny’s (of all places!) at 1 a.m.
Angie also talked about how close she is with the rest of the hopefuls from this season, saying the last day of the tour is going to be hard. The 19-year-old noted that Kree Harrison is definitely her bestie, and said they became great friends when they were roommates.
This young, beautiful, and talented girl’s star is already on the rise, with “You Set Me Free” already for sale on iTunes. As she put it, “Life has definitely changed for the better.”
