We’ve always appreciated that Dianna Agron’s not the kind of girl to don a barely-there outfit on Halloween, instead opting for a costume that’s both beautiful and unique.
As usual, Di didn’t disappoint this time around, when she stepped out in a Goth-inspired version of Banksy’s “Girl With the Red Balloon.” Her inspiration comes from the street artist’s creation of the same name, which can be found on a wall in the South Bank of London.
On initial glance, the former Glee star’s ensemble struck us as rather dark, yet Banksy's work of art is all about hope. The painting shows a young girl reaching towards the sky as her red balloon floats into the air.
Though the piece has been said to symbolize the loss of childhood or the drifting away of dreams, it’s important to note that next to the girl reads the phrase “There Is Always Hope.” All she has to do is step forward a bit and recapture her balloon. Seems like the perfect costume for a dreamer like Dianna!
It doesn’t sound like Dianna will be returning to Glee this season, but the actress has kept busy promoting her summer move, The Family, which co-starred Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer. Next month, she’ll start filming a new thriller, A Conspiracy on Jekyll Island, alongside former Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick. Sounds like she’s been keeping plenty busy lately.
