When Glee star Dianna Agron (Quinn) was asked in a recent interview whether we'd see more of her on the show again before it wraps things up in Season 6, she explained that she wasn't sure, given her busy schedule. Now, we know what she was probably referring to, as she has just signed on to play a role in a star-studded new film.
Dianna — who graced Glee with her presence for the first time in Season 5 with the recent two-part 100th episode special — is set to star in the romantic comedy Tumbledown, which just began filming in Massachusetts this week.
The film stars Iron Man 3's Rebecca Hall as a young widow who is struggling to write a biography of her late husband, who was a popular folk musician. She then meets a New York writer, played by We're the Millers' Jason Sudeikis, who helps her to move on. Also joining Dianna in the cast are Blythe Danner and Magic Mike's Joe Manganiello.
We're very excited for Dianna, since we think this could be the perfect movie to help propel her film career. Her previous choices, I Am Number Four and The Family, weren't huge hits, but this new one not only has a great cast but also seems to be a bit more relatable than those were.
That said, we're still hoping Dianna can find at least a little time to pop back up on Glee one of these days, too!
Do you think this film is a good choice for Dianna? And are you hoping that she'll return to Glee again soon?
