Did Brittany and Sam Actually Get Married on Glee Season 4?

It’s true. During this week’s Glee Season 4, Episode 10: “Glee, Actually,” Brittany (Heather Morris) and Sam (Chord Overstreet) really did decide to take the plunge into matrimony and become husband and wife.

They had a wedding. Coach Beiste (Dot-Marie Jones) officiated. That spoiler photo that Glee creator Ryan Murphy tweeted at the beginning of November did not lie. Well, it didn’t technically lie.

But is the marriage really legit? Did Britt and Sam actually just hitch themselves together for life? Actually... no. As Beiste herself later explained to the two during the episode, the wedding ceremony she performed wasn’t actually legal and binding.

Britt and Sam are still very much a couple — they just aren’t legally wed. Brittana fans, there might still be hope yet!
