When it’s your party, you can not only cry if you want to, you can invite who you want to.
Dina Manzo just threw what looked like a beautiful high school graduation party for her daughter Lexi, and we have no idea who was invited, because we weren’t invited ourselves. (Wah!) But a new story is threatening to take the day away from Lexi and give it to The Rumor Mill, which continues to churn about the “feud” between Dina and her sister Caroline Manzo.
As RadarOnline put it in their headline, "Family Feud Rages On! ‘RHONJ’ Star Dina Manzo Hosts Daughter’s Graduation Party Without Estranged Family."
A party-goer told Radar's friend Tom Murro that Caroline and Jacqueline Laurita were not at the party — which was held at the family restaurant, The Brownstone — but Teresa Giudice was. (Dina's ex, Tommy Manzo, was also at the party, and Dina shared a photo with herself, Lexi, and Tommy, giving it a little heart emoji.)
It's not a terribly negative story, as a whole, but just the idea of putting “family feud” in a headline about Lexi’s graduation party seems to have irked Dina. Or maybe she was annoying that Radar tweeted to her directly, writing, "#RHONJ star @dinamanzo hosts daughter Lexi's graduation party without estranged family -- See the pics!" Dina replied to the post with "@radar_online lets move on shall we?? lol BTW if you're going to run a story like this have your 'spy' tell the whole story!"
Dina had no further word on the whole story or the spy. (All About The Real Housewives suspects Jacqueline.) There’s no denying Caroline and Dina aren’t that close anymore, but back in December, Dina told In Touch Weekly she and Caroline are “totally fine” and she didn’t re-join RHONJ because her sister left the show this season.
“When we see each other, we kiss each other hello,” Dina said at the time. “We just don’t hang out for Sunday dinner, that’s all.” Wetpaint Entertainment had previously reported that Caroline’s daughter, Lauren Manzo — who is still close with Lexi — said she would invite her Aunt Dina to her upcoming wedding, although Dina was not at Lauren’s engagement party.
Was she not invited or could she just not go? These are the things we don’t know from the outside. But “family feud” seems like a tiny bit of an exaggeration at this point, even if they don’t hang out regularly. As Dina said last year, “If Caroline needed me and called me tomorrow, I would be there. I love my sister. I will always love her."
