Did Tina Fey Take a Dig at Taylor Swift at the Golden Globes 2014? (UPDATE: T-Swift Responds!)

UPDATE: As you may have guessed, Taylor Swift apparently wants to know why Tina Fey had to be so mean at last night's Golden Globe awards.

According to Hollywood Life, T-Swift initially did not notice that Tina was making a crack at her expense onstage when Tina quipped that there is a "special place in hell" for Amy Poehler but when Taylor was told about it, she wasn't too happy.

"[Taylor] was told throughout the night of the joke, and she definitely didn’t have it ruin her night, but it certainly affected it for a little bit," a source says. "She thought it wasn’t very classy."

Do you think Taylor is right to be bothered, or is she herself at fault for making the same comment about Amy and Tina last year in the first place?

Original story (1/13/2014): Perhaps the most exciting and unexpected win at the 2014 Golden Globes was Amy Poehler finally taking home the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Series, Comedy for her role on Parks and Recreation. But the icing on top of the yes, Leslie Knope finally won! cake? Tina Fey's response, which seemed to be a good natured dig at Taylor Swift, who was also at the show.

When the show returned from a commercial break after Amy's win, Tina took a second to congratulate her co-host and bestie. After earnestly expressing joy that Amy was finally recognized at the Globes, Tina ended the moment by joking that there's "a special place in hell for [Amy]."

Those who are less than totally pop culture obsessed might have assumed that statement was just an inside joke between friends. While we suppose that's possible, we have to suspect it was actually a reference to the time Taylor Swift implied to Vanity Fair that the comedy duo were mean girls because they'd taken a jab at her love life at the 2013 Golden Globes.

"You know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite people," Taylor told Vanity Fair while addressing the joke. "Because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved, that said, ‘There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.'"

Of course, to imply that Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, of all people, don't support other women is pretty ridiculous, since both comedy goddesses are known for being outspoken feminists. However, we're glad that Tina and Amy seem to be able to do what they do best and find humor in the situation.

What do you think: Was Tina's statement an intentional jab, or a coincidence? Let us know in the comments below!
