Camille — who was recovering from her hysterectomy at the time — says Dimitri got physical with her after she spotted texts and calls on his phone from another woman. However, Dimitri claims that he was not physical with Camille. "There was a verbal altercation, and it was heated," Dimitri tells Access Hollywood.
Dimitri claims that the woman was just a friend who had helped to set up Camille's surgery and that she was just calling to touch base. "Ultimately, at night, when [this other woman] got home with her boyfriend back to his house, she hadn't had a chance to call, so she was just following up and said, 'Sorry, I'll call you tomorrow,'" Dimitri says.
Camille has posted photos that show red marks on her wrists, but Dimitri's lawyer says those injuries may have been caused by her IV from her surgery. "Ms. Grammer, understand, went through a serious medical operation, and so it goes without saying that any type of injuries that she had to her arms or to her wrists were in all likelihood from the IV," the lawyer says.
"And as far as any type of black eye, anyone who's ever had a black eye knows that's not a black eye," Dimitri's lawyer adds about Camille's photo of her black eye from the incident. "If anything, it's a bad mascara job."
Dimitri says he has since undergone two polygraph tests that prove he is not lying about the fact that he didn't abuse Camille. "I just wanted to get the truth out because this was attacking my character," he says about the lie detector tests. Polygraph test results are not admissible in court cases in Texas, and Houston police say that their investigation about the altercation is still ongoing.
This is certainly a tough situation, and we hope the truth eventually comes out.
So do you believe what Dimitri and his lawyer are saying? Or do you think Camille wouldn't have just invented these allegations out of thin air?
