Dina Lohan Pleads Guilty to DWI — Will She Serve Time? (VIDEO)
A downcast Dina Lohan rushed to court today (April 15) to address that pesky DWI charge she received last year.
For those of us not up to date on our Lohan legal issues, the 51-year-old mother of Lindsay was pulled over in Long Island on September 12 after driving 77 miles per hour in a 55 zone. Her blood alcohol level was 0.20, more than twice the legal limit.
Life seemed to continue as normal for Dina despite the arrest. Just a few days later she celebrated the big 5-1 with her daughter Lindsay and the rest of the fam in New York City. Now, though, the day of reckoning has come and Dina has to face the music.
Appearing in a Long Island courtroom on, of all days, Tax Day, Dina pled guilty to aggravated DWI and speeding, reports TMZ.
The penalty is a steep one. She’ll have to do 100 hours of community service and will likely have both her license revoked and an interlock device installed on her car (though how she’d legally drive it without a license, we’re not sure). Dina will also be hitting the books as she’ll have to attend a drinking and driving program and victim impact panel. All of this in addition to paying up for various fines and fees.
That kind of punishment explains the upset look Dina had on her face upon exiting the court. Watch the video to hear her parting message to the paps as she headed out for the day.
