Dina Manzo Boycotts 2014 Olympics

The 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia have certainly come with their share of controversy, and at least one of the stars of The Real Housewives of New Jersey isn't participating in any way, shape, or form. Dina Manzo made her opinion loud and clear on Twitter over the weekend when she posted several messages about how she feels about this year's Winter Games.

Although many people who are boycotting the Olympics are doing it because of Russia's anti-gay policies, Dina is focusing her frustration on a completely different issue.

Dina passionately wrote, "#sochi can #suckit as far as I'm concerned. What they did to those animals is disgusting."

Reportedly, thousands of stray dogs were ordered to be killed in preparation of the big event, and we all know how much Dina loves her furry friends.

"It's a shame so many athletes worked so hard for so many people to ban the #Olympics2014 animal cruelty never wins! #sochisux," Dina added a little later.

It really is too bad that the Olympics have become such a political hot topic this year instead of what they are meant to be — a celebration of all the young athletes' hard work and achievements — but we completely respect Dina's choice to not tune in to the games if that's how she feels.

Are you watching the 2014 Winter Olympics hosted by Sochi, Russia, or are you also boycotting the games for one reason or another like Dina? Tell us how you feel in the comments section below!
