Pretty Little Liars Director Norman Buckley Teases Something “Even Better” Than Ezria

Director Norman Buckley is a mainstay on the Pretty Little Liars set, which is why it makes so much sense that he is the one directing the big 100th episode and its followup, Season 5, Episode 6. And he’s keeping us updated with plenty of behind-the-scenes snapshots, including this silly photo, implying that Ezria is a thing of the past!

“For all you #Ezria fans, here’s something EVEN BETTER!!!! #TheUltimateOTP #EzriaSchmezria #IanWho? #NoriaRules #Lucyman #Inevitable #AriaFallsForGrandpa,” Norman captioned a photo of he and Lucy Hale (Aria) all smiles.

Though Norman may tease that Ezria is a thing of the past, we doubt that’s true. If you’ve seen the promo for Season 5, you can see that Aria spends at least part of the premiere by Ezra’s (Ian Harding) bedside following his gunshot wound in the Season 4 finale. There’s also this Season 5 promo, a loving montage of the Ezria relationship set to ZZ Ward’s “Last Love Song.” Yep, Ezria is totally still endgame.

That being said, there are still many obstacles on the road to endgame. Ian told E! Online: "They're going to have to clearly like regain trust, but I don't think it's the end. Emphasis on 'think.' I think the love that they have is just so insanely strong, and it's why such a cerebral, intellectual guy as Ezra decided to say, 'No, screw you law enforcement, I'm gonna go for this.' I don't think that can just simply end because I think Ezra is a good person. He's just driven by this obsession."

Lucy was somewhat less optimistic, but still felt the two have a chance: "I feel like Aria's a hopeless romantic," Lucy explained. "I want to say that hopefully she'll come around and be with him, but at the end of season four, things are up in the air. It's almost like how much more can they take, you know? So I don't know. If she's strong enough to get back with him, I would hope so, but we'll see."
