It’s been more than a month since the super awkward, conflict-filled Season 18 of The Bachelor wrapped with the most dramatic finale ever on March 10. Juan Pablo Galavis and gal pal Nikki Ferrell have moved on from the show to a relatively normal life, but he’s still munching on sour grapes from his War of the Roses.
On March 29, he caught up with OK! Magazine at his disastrous Pool After Dark appearance, and the interview just came out on April 21, revealing a few things we didn’t know about the Venezuelan hottie.
“The reality of the show is it was a great experience for me. I enjoyed two months of filming,” he said of the ups and downs of making the reality TV show. It’s surprising to hear that, actually, considering the stress he must’ve felt at least a little when he had obvious conflict with runner-up Clare Crawley, and the exits of favorites Sharleen Joynt and Andi Dorfman.
So, what was the part Juan Pablo didn’t like? Seeing it all play out, as you might’ve guessed, but not because of what you might think. “I didn’t enjoy watching it, but it is what it is. It was two months filming something that when you watch it, you’re like ‘wow.’ I had so many great memories, so many great things that you didn’t get to see. That’s the disappointing part.”
Honestly, we’re a little surprised that his take home message was loss for what was left on the cutting room floor. We’d think he would be disappointed by what we did see, rather than what we didn’t…
Indeed, he and Sharleen both mentioned on the March 3 “Women Tell All” special that there was a lot more than kissing between them, and that most of their conversations were edited out of the footage.
Are you surprised that Juan Pablo was only disappointed about what we didn’t get to see?
