“Disoriented” Norman Reedus Fan Takes Kids to Georgia to Find Walking Dead Star
A woman described as being in an "altered mental state” got disoriented on a road trip with her kids to track down The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) — whom she called “her man.”
According to the Ledger-Enquirer in Columbus, Georgia, police responding to a burglary on July 28 in LaGrange, GA found a woman coming out the location’s front door. She reportedly told the officer she was looking for her children in the house. She and her three kids were on a trip from their home in Mississippi to find Norman in Georgia, since that’s where The Walking Dead is currently shooting Season 4. She didn’t know where Norman lived.
Apparently their car ran out of gas early Sunday morning and they were taken to the police department in West Point, GA. The Sun Herald in Mississippi has more details, but the woman and her kids were eventually taken to a shelter in nearby LaGrange. On Sunday night, the woman reportedly left the shelter and went for a walk, ending up at the house she broke into; she was confused and thought she had left her children there.
By that point, police had contacted her husband and he reportedly drove back to Mississippi with the children. The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment and evaluation, but because of her mental state she hasn’t been charged with a crime yet.
It’s pretty sad — and scary for the kids, the husband, Norman, and the poor woman herself. Norman has a lot of passionate fans out there, but it sounds like this one may need serious help.
